Everyone loves their precious sparkling jewelry and likes to keep it clean and new-like forever. But no matter if its diamond or emerald or ruby or sapphire, it would get damp some day, if you don’t care for it. Following are some ideas to keep your jewelry looking fresh for a long a time:
1. Breakage is a danger to every kind of ornament, even if it’s the hardest substance known. Do not carry your gems to gyms or when you exercise, because they can shatter apart with a well placed blow. Also, never try to pull out rings with a stone like substance.
2. Stones in your jewelry are hard and create scratches when rubbed against each other which destroy their shine and grace. Therefore, never store two piece of jewelry in one box.
3. Clean your jewelry regularly because it might not be visible, but they catch dust and other particles which dampen their shine. To wash them, soak them in water with a small amount of gentle soap. Scrub with a soft tooth brush, especially from behind.
4. Never use chemical sprays on stones as they might destroy the shine permanently.
A bit of care can add luster to your precious investments.
